to the Library!
Come and begin an adventure at the Mountain View Elementary library. We enjoy a varied collection of quality books to entice and encourage reading in all our students. We try to lead the children toward independence in finding answers to their questions and learning how to best use a library's resources. The library at Mountain View supports the curriculum and also guides the students through steps of the research process that they will need as they move ahead in school. Of course, we hope to also impart our own love of reading and show the children the adventure that might just be there.
Students are welcome to drop by anytime school is open to look for new books to read. We especially encourage this in our older grades as we would like them to develop an interest and love for the library as they venture on to middle school.

We Give Books
We Give Books is a website which, at no cost to you, donates books to places that are less fortunate than are we. All you need to do is signup for an account and then read books. For every book you read, a book is donated to an organization of your choice. wegivebooks.com
A note of awareness is sent home when children have forgotten to bring their books back on time. As soon as those books are returned, children may begin to check out again. If, after 2 months, the books have not found their way back, a bill will be sent home.
