Welcome to Mountain View

1st Day Ready

We are excited to have your child join our MVES family! When the registration process is complete and a teacher is assigned, a Prince William County user account is created for your child. Once the overnight sync occurs and the programs below are setup, your child will be able to connect with their class. Please note that Canvas and Clever need two days to sync student accounts.

After receiving your child's account information, please complete the following steps:

Step 1 - Contact the office to sign out a laptop (if you need a device for virtual learning)
Step 2 - Complete the 1st Day Ready:
Student and Parent Account Setup

Office 365 - All students attending PWCS have access to a MS Office account for school work. If students are using a personal device, they are allowed five downloads for the devices. Students will need to log in to their Office 365 account.

The following student programs are located under the "waffle" in Office 365:

Zoom is our online learning classroom. Using a Chrome browser, go to the PWCS Zoom webpage, logon by using the SSO button, and your PWCS email and password, then download the Zoom app (under Resources). Always login to Zoom first! Update Zoom on a regular basis. ALL PWCS student accounts must be authenticated to access the Zoom link posted in their classroom or Encore/Specialists classes.

Canvas is the place for our virtual classrooms, supporting both real-time (synchronous) and self-paced (asynchronous) learning.

Clever provides students a single sign-on portal to access PWC grade level programs and resources.

If your child is using an iPad (iOS 13+), the following apps should be installed:
